Toronto-based mens wear retailer Grafton-Fraser Inc., which operates 123 stores across Canada under the Jack Fraser, Grafton and Co., George Richards, The Suit Exchange and Mr. Big and Tall banners, has brought its Timberland banner to Canada. Currently Timberland operates in Latin America, Asia, Europe and the U.S. The new chain, which launched with three new Ontario stores in Oakville, Mississauga, and Toronto, is offering its collection of footwear, clothing and accessories. Timberland offers a range of apparel and merchandise for the great outdoors, casual, dress and running shoes, men's sportswear, streetwear and outerwear and a collection of accessories ranging from backpacks, luggage, watches, sunglasses and wallets, in addition to its trademark, leather work boots. In celebration of the opening of the Canadian stores, Grafton-Fraser and Timberland will be donating a pair of warm socks to Project Warmth, for every pair of Timberland boots and shoes sold until December 24, 1999. Project Warmth distributes sleeping bags and warm clothing to the homeless. Advertising for Timberland is handled in-house. PR for Timberland is handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
