CANADIAN HOUSE & HOME LAUNCHES "SPLIT-RUN" COVER

Canadian House & Home magazine has launched what it is calling a first in Canadian publishing, a regional "split-run" cover. On December 6, the millennium tribute issue of the magazine will hit newsstands across Canada bearing two entirely different cover designs slated for either east or west distribution. The "spilt-run" covers are designed to promote the regional aspects of Canadian House & Home's editorial coverage. Readers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will receive an issue with a group of western interior and exterior designers on the cover, while readers in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces will see a different cover that features a group of eastern designers. Geoffrey Dawe, vice president of sales & marketing at Toronto-based Canadian Home Publishers, publishers of Canadian House & Home, said the two distinct covers for the millennium issue reflect the magazine's national vision. Canadian House & Home's millennium issue will recognize interior and exterior designers from across the country, including a large talent pool in the west that does not always receive such recognition. Canadian House & Home is published nine times a year. The magazine has a circulation of 168,000.
