INTEL TARGETING PENTIUM III CUSTOMERS IN NEW AD BLITZ
By Adnews Staff
In a change of pace Toronto-based Intel of Canada is focusing one-third of its advertising budget during its fourth quarter on a new ad blitz to target current Intel Pentium III processor owners. The advertising blitz, which will include television and radio advertising from Sharpe Blackmore Saffer Euro RSCG of Toronto, is intended to make customers aware of Intel's free WebOutfitter service. The free service offers Pentium III owners content, tools, plug-ins and tutorials designed to enhance Internet experiences. As part of the free service, Intel is also announcing special offers such as two month's free Internet access from Rogers Cable and access to free plug-ins and software including Adobe Active Share to Pentium III users who register for the WebOutfitter service. The remainder of Intel's advertising budget will be focused on general Pentium III brand advertising. PR for Intel of Canada is handled by Cohn & Wolfe of Toronto.
