HIGH ROAD COMMUNICATIONS REALIGNS CORPORATE STRUCTURE

High Road Communications has announced a new corporate realignment and the appointment of the agency's first two vice presidents. The public relations firm has created four new divisions aimed at "exploiting the fastest growing technologies in the world today". The new divisions include: Emerging Technologies, E-commerce and Internet Applications, Telecom/Datacom and Hardware and B2B and eBusiness Software. The new divisions will each be led by a group leader. High Road's founding partners, Rick Doyon and Mia Wedgbury, will head up the Telecom/Datacom & Hardware and B2B and eBusiness Software groups respectively as well as remain as general managers of the firm's Toronto and Ottawa offices. Newly appointed vice presidents Monta Kerr-Johnson and Cathy Browne will head up the E-Commerce and Internet Applications group and the Emerging Technologies group respectively. According to Wedgbury, each division represents an area of rapidly growing technology. She added, High Road intends on leveraging its knowledge and expertise in those areas and maximize its growth and profits going forward. High Road's partners said the rapid growth experienced by the agency since it was founded in 1996 has created the need to realign management responsibilities. Future plans include doubling the agency in size by late 2001.
