CBC NEWSWORLD OFFERS EVEREST SPONSORSHIPS

Toronto-based CBC Newsworld is using new satellite digital technology to broadcast live reports from a Canadian team of mountain climbers as they scale the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. The news network will be broadcasting live reports of "Everest 2000" eight times daily from March 1 to May 31. The network is looking for one presenting sponsor and five associate sponsors with advertising packages including billboards and brand commercials adjacent to each report, sponsor acknowledgment in the on-air promotional campaign and an online package. CBC Newsworld's coverage is being supported with a promotional campaign directing viewers to watch the live reports and visit the network's Everest Web site for updates. A national advertising campaign, created in-house, is also being developed.
