TRIDEL GIVING AWAY CONDO IN CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
The Tridel Group of Companies, based in Toronto, has launched what it calls one of the largest e-commerce contests in Internet history. The condominium developer is giving away as a grand prize a brand new condominium in downtown Toronto, in addition to prizes supplied by contest sponsors including Inglis, Kodak, Cantel AT&T, Rogers@Home, Rogers Digital and Dundee Wealth Management. Myfreetridelhome.com, which launched on November 5th, will use "permission-based" Internet marketing techniques. Contestants can increase their chances of winning by involving family and friends. To enter, contestants complete an online questionnaire which qualifies their housing needs and offers access to information about a new Tridel property called The Icon. Tridel worked with Toronto-based Net Results Internet Advertising Inc. in developing the contest. Net Results "works with companies in building online relationships with current and potential customers through the development of permission-based marketing campaigns and promotions," according to the company. Myfreetridelhome.com is being promoted with outdoor and print advertising from Poirier & Brightling Marketing Ltd. of Toronto, which also handled the media buy. Print ads are running in the Toronto Star, The Globe & Mail, National Post, Now Magazine, Eye Weekly and Condo Life. In addition, 18 billboards will be promoting the contest along with online promotion. The myfreetridelhome.com contest closes midnight January 29, 2000. The final draw takes place February 14, 2000.
