GABOR GROUP PRODUCING AUTO THEFT SCENARIOS
By Adnews Staff
Communications company The Gabor Group of Toronto, which specializes in consumer public awareness campaigns and sponsored radio and television productions, is doing some work for The Insurance Crime Prevention Bureau of Canada, based in Toronto. Gabor is producing a series of scenarios on the crime of auto theft. The Gabor Group was hired by The Insurance Bureau of Canada, with which it has worked on a project basis for the last seven years, to produce the consumer campaign. The Insurance Bureau of Canada sponsors The Insurance Crime Prevention Bureau of Canada. The different scenarios illustrate the workings of organized auto theft. Examples include VIN switching, chop shops, and the shipping of stolen cars out of the country. The spots are aimed at helping consumers understand and take precautions against auto theft. They will be released as video news segments and distributed to television stations across Canada. Additional plans call for the production of a half-hour television special which would include these scenarios.
