BIG BANG FX CREATES NEW 3D LOGO FOR ALLIANCE ATLANTIS

Alliance Atlantis of Toronto opened the 1999 Toronto Film Festival with the launch of its new 3D animated logo. The new logo was created for Alliance Atlantis by BIG BANG FX Animation of Montreal. Alliance Atlantis hired BIG BANG on a project assignment for the creation of the new logo following a competition involving 10-15 unnamed design houses. Mario Rachiele, president and executive producer of BIG BANG, said the new corporate logo kept the same concept of the company's previous logo but updated it with a year 2000 look. The camera pans over mountains which contain a bed of crystals. The crystals are then seen rising in the sky and forming the name Alliance Atlantis. Music and sound design for the new 3D animated logo were done by Montreal-based Sonart Productions. BIG BANG is an affiliate of Toronto-based MIJO Corporation.
