MACLAREN MCCANN RE-LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE DIVISION

Toronto-based MacLaren McCann Canada Inc. is re-launching its interactive communications division as MacLaren McCann Interactive. Originally launched in 1995 with three employees and known as Initiative Interactive, the division has grown to more than 80 employees today. "There has been an explosion of activity on the Web and with it a flood of interactive shops have set up," Doug Thompson, managing director of MacLaren McCann Interactive said. The re-launched division has developed experiential Web sites, online brand advertising campaigns, CD-ROMs, e-commerce and online promotions and interactive banner ad campaigns. Its client roster includes: General Motors, Rogers, National Post, Royal Bank, Southam and Thriftys.
