SPECTRUM'S 360 DEGREE CAMPAIGN GOES UNDERGROUND
By Adnews Staff
Spectrum United Mutual Funds Inc. is going underground in its effort to expand its current "360 Degree Thinking" advertising campaign. Spectrum is running a series of ten 6' x 10' backlit poster panels in the York Street tunnel in Toronto. The tunnel, contracted from Gallop & Gallop Advertising Inc., will have its creative rotated and changed frequently in keeping pace with the original campaign launched in August. The outdoor advertising joins the campaign's print ads and radio spots designed to increase the profile of Spectrum and link the concept of 360 degree thinking with Spectrum United. According to Christine Lasky, vice president, marketing, Spectrum United, the new backlit posters are located on one of Toronto's busiest underpasses heading in and out of the city's financial core. The tunnel also reaches thousands who come to the city core for major league sporting events, theatre and other entertainment venues, she added. Spectrum United is wholly owned by Sun Life Assurance of Canada. Advertising for Spectrum United is done by Toronto-based Bates Canada.
