TITANIC SAILS INTO TORONTO'S EXHIBITION PLACE
By Adnews Staff
TITANIC: The Exhibition has docked at the Better Living Centre at Toronto's Exhibition Place, where it will remain until February. The exhibition is the largest of its kind, with exclusive authentic Titanic artifacts. The limited engagement runs from September 24, 1999 to February 10, 2000. SFX Entertainment of Ohio and RMS Titanic Inc. of New York are presenting the show. SFX operates a network of live event venues in the United States. The Landmark Group of Toronto, a sport and event company, was asked by SFX to join in the presentation of the exhibition in Canada. RMS Titanic was granted salvor-in-possession rights to the wreck of the Titanic by the U.S. Federal court in 1994. Those rights were reconfirmed in 1996. RMS Titanic has taken responsibility for the historical preservation of the wreck. To promote the exhibition, television spots are running on CFTO, print ads are running in local newspapers, outdoor advertising including billboards and street posters are being used and posters and brochures are being distributed inside retail outlets and stores. Advertising for the exhibition was created in-house by SFX Entertainment.
