BAY AND ZELLERS LAUNCHING CELLULAR AND PAGING PACKAGES

Zellers Inc. of Brampton, Ontario and The Bay of Toronto are offering its customers a way of staying in touch. The two retail chains, divisions of Toronto-based Hudson's Bay Company, are introducing Global Contact, a new program offering both cellular and paging services exclusively to its credit card customers. The launch of the cellular and paging services are the first in what will be a full boutique of telecommunications products. Global Contact is being promoted to Zellers and Bay credit card holders through a direct mail campaign and in-store signage, created by The Cundari Group of Toronto. "We have created these packages for the large number of Canadian moms that currently have not been able to access cellular or paging services. Zellers Global Contact provides her with easy communications options at affordable rates," Thomas Haig, president and COO of Zellers said. Features of the new Bay Global Contact and Zellers Global Contact services include no activation or licensing fees, no contracts and monthly fee and minutes billed directly to the Bay or Zellers card.
