Rare Medium Canada has announced two recent appointments. Michael Aniballi joins Rare Medium as vice-president of sales. In his new role he will direct companies in the strategic implementation of Internet technology. Aniballi joins Rare Medium from Canada Trust, where he was sales manager of residential mortgages. Debby Lewis also joins Rare Medium as manager of client strategy. Lewis will work with Rare Medium's clients to develop targeted online solutions. Before joining Rare Medium, Lewis was executive producer at Microsoft.com/Canada.

Genesis Media has announced three new executive appointments following Genesis' sale of its Internet company Clickthrough to 24/7 Media of New York. Bruce Claassen, currently president and chief executive officer of Genesis Media Inc. will be assuming the newly created position of chairman of the Genesis Group of Companies. David Stanger will succeed Claassen, taking over as president and chief executive officer of Genesis Media. Most recently Stanger has served as executive vice-president and managing director of the company. Tom Batho has been appointed executive vice-president and chief operating officer of the company. For the last year Batho has been working in partnership with Stanger in running the agency's day-to-day business.

NextMedia has added Jacqueline Murdoch to its team as senior media executive, effective immediately. Murdoch comes to NextMedia from Palmer Jarvis DDB Manitoba where she was general manager and media director.
