STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES PLAYS THE GAME

Toronto-based public relations agency Strategic Objectives will be investing in Park Place and Boardwalk, having won the public relations assignment for the Canadian Monopoly Championships of Hasbro Canada Inc., based in Longueuil, Quebec. Strategic got the assignment based on a referral from one of its existing clients. The agency will be responsible for media relations and event management for the championships which will include three regional playdowns in Eastern, Western and Central Canada and the national championships which take place in Toronto in October. The assignment is scheduled to run until mid-October.

In additional news Strategic Objective has won a 1999 Golden World Award for excellence in "public relations/marketing a new product" from the IPRA International Public Relations Association of the United Kingdom. The agency was the only Canadian company to win a golden award this year. Strategic was recognized for its launch of The Body Shop's Hemp Dry Skin Treatment in Canada. The Awards are sponsored by NEC Corporation and will be presented at the IPRA world conference in Tokyo this October.
