TV GUIDE ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER RE-LAUNCH

TV Guide will hit the newsstands on August 28 with a new look. The magazine will be re-launched in a perfect-bound format and will feature a new logo. Editorial changes will include more news, reviews and features with 4-color editorial at the front of the magazine. Also to be included is a new 7-day viewing guide titled What's On, a daily Sports Guide, a new Family Viewing column, a monthly Style column and a Video column. Beginning in the October 2 issue there will be a new monthly website column devoted to the best TV-related sites. The Celebrity Chef column will also include more recipes and cooking tips. The listings section has been redesigned to provide what the magazine calls the most complete listings of any television record in the country. To support the re-launch of the magazine a national television campaign featuring Jerry Stiller of Seinfeld, a radio campaign and trade advertising are being used. TV Guide is published by Telemedia Communications Inc. of Toronto. Advertising for TV Guide is dony by Margaret Kool Marketing of Edmonton. The magazine has 15 regional editions, a national circulation of 705,954 and a readership of 1,872,000.
