YORK COMMUNICATIONS COMBINES CEM AND YORK EXPOSITIONS

CEM Corporate Events Management Inc. and York Expositions Inc., both of Toronto, have become York Communications. The trade show and conference producers have integrated into a new single entity. "The new name will provide a more accurate reflection of the companies' growth into a range of media and communications services including business-to-business publishing," CEM and York's principals Jacqui Peake and George Przybylowski said. Promoting of the new entity will be done through media relations. A new corporate logo and collateral material was created by Kaktus Studio of Toronto. York Communications owns and manages Canadian trade shows and conferences in the construction, residential building and real estate sectors. It also publishes Real Direction, a quarterly national magazine for senior commercial real estate executives, Kitchens and Bath Forum, which focuses on new products, design trends and issues of interest to architects, home builders and renovators, and Construction Law Update, a monthly online bulletin, summarizing recent court decisions. Future plans of the company include conferences, trade and consumer shows and publications in the energy and health sectors.
