NATREL MOOO-VING INTO 750 NEW STORES

Natrel Inc. of Longueuil, Quebec has signed on the dotted line making it the new dairy supplier for over 750 Mac's, Becker's, Mikes, Daisy Marts and Wink's stores in Ontario. Natrel signed the six year agreement with Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. earlier this week. "This is a great opportunity for Natrel Inc.," said vice president marketing and market development, Ken Hume. "Not only does it represent an increase in our production volume, it also opens new sales opportunities for Natrel's premium milks. This is a major agreement for us, which will help increase our presence in the Ontario market." Natrel will manufacture milk jugs under the Becker's label at its Ontario plants in Orleans and St. Laurent, which have already been equipped to handle the added volume. The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agropur, has five plants in Quebec, five in Ontario and one in British Columbia. Natrel's products are expected to be in stores by mid-September.
