By Adnews Staff
The non-profit learning resource group Toronto Webgrrls has launched a new program called "Women on the Web" at Work or WoW@Work, that offers non-profit organizations free Web site design and consultation services. "Many non-profit organization do not have the in-house capability to design or maintain a Web site," said Jennifer Evans, director, Toronto Webgrrls. "The WoW@Work program allows these groups to benefit from Toronto Webgrrls Women on the Web's experience to effectively use the Internet as a communications vehicle. At the same time, the program gives our members solid Web design experience." The organization will take on projects on a case-by-case basis, based on the availability of volunteers. The first groups to sign on for the program include: Oxfam Canada, The Ontario AIDS Network and Caritas, a long-term rehabilitation organization.
