BAYER LAUNCHING DIRECT MAIL CAMPAIGN WITH A TWIST

The healthcare division of Toronto-based Bayer Inc. is doing some research into the Canadian health care system by launching a direct mail program with a twist. The campaign is targeting physicians, pharmacists and policy makers in the Canadian health care system and asking them to share their views through a national survey. The survey will address issues such as nation wide restructuring, access to health care services and primary care reform. As part of the campaign, once the results are released, a copy will be sent to those who participated, to allow them to read what opinions those in the same field hold. The direct mail piece was created in-house by Bayer. Bayer Inc. is the Canadian subsidiary of the international pharmaceutical group Bayer AG (Germany). PR for Bayer is handled by Environics Communications Inc. of Toronto.
