Infinet Communications has announced some new appointments within its agency. Steve Melles has joined the Toronto-based agency as principal, vice president marketing and sales. Melles will be responsible for overseeing client and strategic relationships. Most recently he was vice president marketing and communications at CBI Health. Mark De Wolf comes to Infinet as director of communications. He joins the agency from Strategy magazine where he most recently was associate editor of the magazine's monthly supplement. Andrew Hladkyj is appointed senior designer for the agency. He joins Infinet from Zepplin Communications where he was senior graphic designer.
Wolf Group has announced two recent promotions expanding the group's creative heads. Barnaby Southgate has been promoted from senior copywriter to group creative head and Julie Markle has been promoted from senior art director to group creative head.
Dylex Limited has announced the appointment of William Aziz as president of its BiWay division. Most recently Aziz was chairman and chief executive officer for White Rose Crafts and Nursey Sales Limited where he led the company through its restructuring plan. Aziz will assume responsibilities as president of BiWay at the beginning of August.
The Globe & Mail national newspaper has announced Chrystia Freeland will be joining the paper as deputy editor this fall. Freeland joins The Globe & Mail from The Financial Times where she was national news editor. Freeland will be reporting to Richard Addis who was recently named editor for the paper.
