UNILEVER EXCITED ABOUT @HOME

New York-based consumer goods company Unilever has signed a deal to include online advertising with Excite@Home of Redwood City, California in its interactive advertising and marketing strategy. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Excite@Home will provide Unilever with program management, creative consultations, ad targeting, ad tracking and measurement of brand perception and purchase intent. "We view broadband advertising as an important Internet marketing strategy for Unilever because it lets us present our message in a highly engaging format and connect very closely with our customers," chairman of Unilever's North American Interactive Brand Center Tony Romeo said in a release. Some of the brands manufactured by Unilever include: Lipton teas, Ragu pasta and pizza sauces, Breyers ice cream products, Snuggle fabric softeners, Q-tips cotton swabs and cotton balls, Finesse and Salon Selectives hair care products.
