Coca-Cola Enterprises of Atlanta, Georgia has announced its products have been approved to be reintroduced to the Belgian marketplace. The soft drink company announced last Thursday that the Minister of Health in Belgium approved the reintroduction following a recall of the beverages after a number of consumers in Belgium became ill after drinking the product. As a result of this announcement the company also reported it expects to reintroduce products from its Belgian plants into Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The Ministry of Economics in France has also approved the resumption of the sale in France of canned products produced in Dunkirk. "As we reintroduce our products into the marketplace, the most important issues to Coca-Cola Enterprises are the quality of our products and earning the trust and confidence of our consumers and customers," president and chief executive officer for Coca-Cola Enterprises, Henry Schimberg said. The company also went on to say it apologized to its consumers and assured its consumers, customers and European officials that product quality issues had been resolved.
