NATIONAL POST REPORTING ON THE BEST OF SUMMER
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based National Post is getting ready to take off for the summer on a ten week tour to celebrate "The Best of Summer". The daily newspaper will be traveling across Canada, stopping in 11 cities, visiting summer festivals and events. "For a couple of days in each city, we hope to turn two pages of the National Post into a local paper with outstanding reporting and a national audience," National Post, editor-in-chief Kenneth Whyte said. Writers and columnists will participate in community events and file two pages of editorial and pictures from the host cities. Promotion for "The Best of Summer Tour" will be seen in the National Post and in the local cities while the tour unfolds including radio promos. The National Post launched in October 1998.
