TORONTO RAPTORS MOVE TO CTV SPORTSNET
By Adnews Staff
Local broadcast of Toronto Raptors games will now be seen on CTV Sportsnet, beginning with the 1999-2000 NBA season. The Raptors made the announcement yesterday after signing a new two-year agreement. Previously local broadcast of the team's games could be seen on The New VR but that four-year contract expired at the end of the recently completed season. John Saunders will also remain as the team play-by-play commentator. He will join Leo Rautins for their fifth season together as the on-air announcers for Raptors telecasts. Forty-three Raptors games will be broadcast on CTV Sportsnet next season in addition to 15 games that will air on TSN in Ontario as part of a current agreement. CTV Sportsnet is a Canadian 24-hour regional sports service.
