WHITE ROSE PLANTING FOR THE FUTURE

White Rose Crafts & Nursery Sales of Markham, Ontario is helping May flowers bloom in communities throughout Ontario with the announcement of a "Planting for the Future" promotion. The crafts and nursery retailer will donate 32 gardens to communities across the province with the help of its customers. White Rose customers will be asked to nominate areas where they think the planting of a garden would most enhance the beauty of their community. Until May 14, ballots will be available in White Rose locations. Winning locations for each city will be chosen from all entries received in consultation with local elected officials. To advertise the promotion radio spots will be used supported by in-store signage. The campaign was created by Vaughn Whelan & Partners Advertising Inc. of Toronto. The gardens being donated will consist of a combination of trees, shrubs and flowers grown on the retailers' own farms. White Rose has also announced that its operating name will change to White Rose Home & Garden Centres, highlighting its focus on indoor and outdoor home decor. White Rose operates 32 retail outlets and own and operates two farms, located in Uxbridge and Wellington, Ontario.
