KELLOG ANNOUNCES SHORTLIST

Kellogg Canada Inc. of Toronto has narrowed it down to five agencies. The listed agencies are competing to manage media buying services for the grain-based food company. The review was announced on March 30. Comprising the shortlist is incumbent Leo Burnett, The Media Company, MindShare (a division of J. Walter Thompson), The Media Edge (a division of Young & Rubicam) and Western Interactive Media (a division of Initiative Media in the U.K.). All agencies are based in Toronto and are offering national and international services. The process is being managed privately by Kellogg. The final decision will be announced in September and will be effective for the planning year 2000.
