HILL & KNOWLTON OFFERS WEB-BASED PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Hill & Knowlton Canada Ltd. has announced a new service called e-Public Affairs that is designed to show clients how the Web can be used as a public affairs tool. The service, launched earlier this week, is comprised of four features: the first is an information monitoring service which tracks what is said about a client, assess it and provides an opportunity to respond. The second feature attempts to finds new ways for people to communicate through intranets, extranets and e-mail alerts. The third feature assists clients in managing issues using the Web as a tool, while the fourth builds awareness of issues to within an audience. The e-Public service is being offered to current clients of Hill & Knowlton Canada first and then to prospective clients. The launch of e-Public Affairs is the first in a series of e-communications services from the agency. "Millions of voices - activist and affinity groups, industry associations, corporations, journalists and analysts - compete for prominence and dominance in the policy-making process. Our e-Public Affairs service will give our clients the opportunity to get their message across by using the Web to impact policy making in Canada," commented Miller. Hill & Knowlton Canada is a division of H&K Inc., a worldwide public relations agency with 57 offices in 32 countries.
