ROGERS LAUNCHES MULTIPLE COMPUTER ACCESS
By Adnews Staff
Rogers Cablesystems Ltd. of Toronto is responding to the growing popularity of computers in Canadian homes with a new service that allows customers to connect multiple computers to a single Rogers@Home high speed Internet account. Rogers@Home vice-president and general manager Alek Krstajic told Adnews yesterday that Rogers is recognizing that more and more households may have more than one computer for teenagers doing homework and parents working in home offices. "This is the product enhancement most requested by our customers," Krstajic said. The monthly cost for multiple computer access is $9.95 per additional computer. The service can accommodate up to three computers from one home. To promote the new multiple computer access, Rogers is sending e-mail to all of its current subscribers. The new multiple computer access service will also be included in Rogers' overall advertising campaigns for it @Home service. Rogers Cablesystems Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rogers Communications Inc. which delivers communications services to customers in Ontario and British Columbia.
