THE SHOPPING CHANNEL REACHES BEYOND THE TELEVISION SCREEN

The Shopping Channel of Mississauga, Ontario, is attempting to provide consumers with anytime, anywhere shopping. The retail channel is launching a new multimedia website designed by Rogers Communications Inc., a direct mail catalogue and a new retail outlet store in an attempt to become a retail force. The website, <http://www.tsc.ca>, was launched yesterday and allows consumers to engage in online shopping. For consumers who prefer a more traditional shopping experience, there is tSc In-Print, a new quarterly retail catalogue, designed to provides tSc customers with another way of shopping. In addition to the new website and catalogue and the original live television shopping channel, tSc is opening "The Shopping Channel OffAir Outlet Store" in Toronto. To promote the new site and catalogue, a national radio and transit advertising campaign will run to the end of the year. The tagline will ask "How will you shop tSc today?". The campaign was created by tSc's advertising agency Bozell Worldwide Canada Inc. of Toronto. PR for tSc is handled by Canada Porter Novelli of Toronto.
