Good Humor-Breyers of Oakville, Ontario has announced it is closing its manufacturing facility in Montreal the end of June. "The decision to close the facility follow the company's comprehensive review of its operations in the increasingly competitive ice cream industry in Canada," Good Humor-Breyers president, Kevin Boyce said. "The closure will enable the company to consolidate production in one multi-purpose facility in Simcoe, Ontario, thus enhancing capital efficiency and reducing costs." Good Humor-Breyers is an operating company of Unilever Canada Ltd, manufacturing and selling a variety of ice cream and frozen novelty products across Canada. "Strategically, our company will increase its focus on delivering branded value-added ice cream and frozen novelty products to the Canadian marketplace," Boyce added.
