HOLLINGER INTERNATIONAL LAUNCHES VANCOUVERTODAY.COM

Hollinger International Inc. has launched VancouverToday.com, a website devoted to all things Vancouver. VancouverToday.com directly links to Hollinger's two Vancouver newspapers sites, The Vancouver Sun and The Province, and is part of the national Canada.com network. The site, targeting both local residents and tourists as well as businesses, will offer news, sports and entertainment events. "VancouverToday amalgamates news, events and classifieds and adds Web-specific content, feature-rich services and other functions that make it an exciting Internet portal for the Vancouver market," Hollinger International vice-president of new media Frederic Lebolt said in a release. Hollinger is a global newspaper publisher with over 400 paid English-language newspapers in Canada, the United Kingdom, the U.S. and Israel.
