By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Cohn & Wolfe is dressed for adventure after being named agency of record for Tilley Endurables of Toronto. Tilley Endurables was established in 1980 when Alex Tilley designed the first Tilley hat. Today Tilley offers a complete line of travel and adventure clothing and accessories, all designed and manufactured in Canada. Cohn & Wolfe will promote Tilley's line of clothing and accessories, beginning immediately to implement a program in time for the summer travel season. Initial plans include special event planning and promotion, continued media relations and development of ongoing programs to generate publicity for the company. Cohn & Wolfe specializes in consumer marketing, corporate communications, public affairs, high tech and healthcare.
In addition to the Tilley Endurables account win, the Technology Practice of Cohn & Wolfe has announced it will handle all public relations activities in Canada for Toronto-based Symantec Corporation. Cohn & Wolfe won the assignment after a recent competitive pitch against six unnamed agencies. The incumbent on the account was The Communications Group. The agency has already begun working on the account and is preparing for a product launch and marketing partnership in the second quarter. Symantec makes utility software for business and personal computing. The company has Canadian offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver.
