IFAW LAUNCHES AD CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
The International Fund for Animal Welfare of Cape Cod, Newfoundland has launched an advertising campaign in Atlantic Canada and Ottawa. The ads argue against the claim that seals caused the cod collapse and are stopping the recovery of cod stocks. The advertisements, which are running in daily newspapers this week, ask the question "Would we kill any species which is alleged to feed on the cod?" The ads also features the provincial bird of Newfoundland, the puffin. The campaign was created by Hawk Communications of Moncton, New Bruinswick. The IFAW is an animal protection organization founded thirty years ago. The organization's main goal is to safeguard marine mammals and other wildlife from commercial exploitation.
