MEDIACOM TAKING SHELTER

Mediacom of Toronto is taking B.C.'s better way after winning an exclusive 10-year aggreement for Transit Shelter Advertising for the City of Surrey. The agreement was previously divided between two operators Mediacom and Pattison Outdoor. The bid process concluded last week with the the city awarding Mediacom the agreement to provide transit shelter advertising throughout the municipality. This account win falls in line with Mediacom's building program for British Columbia. In addition to SurrEy, the company has transit shelter agreements with the cities of Coquitlam, Langley, Delta, Pitt Meadown, Kelowna, Penticton and is currently building poster panels in the City of Vancouver. In Surrey Mediacom has plans to add 264 new transit shelter advertising faces for a total of 556 display faces. The transit shelter advertiser is a wholly owned subsidiary of Outdoor Systems Inc. of Phoenix, Arizona. The company's other products include posters, superboards, permanents, wall murals and mediacolumns.
