KIMBERLY-CLARK CONSOLIDATES ADVERTISING

The Kimberly-Clark Corp. of Dallas, Texas has consolidated worldwide advertising creative for its consumer products businesses within the WPP Group of global communications companies. J. Walter Thompson of New York, has been awarded global creative advertising responsibility for the company's tissue brands, including Kleenex, Scott, Scottex and Andrex. The accounts were previously shared by JWT, Foote, Cone & Belding and Ogilvy & Mather. Global creative advertising for Kimberly-Clark's Huggies, Pull-Ups and Kotex personal care brands remains with WPP's Ogilvy & Mather. The announcement does not affect the company's away from home, professional health care and paper businesses. The change follows the company's announcement late last year of the creation of a new global organization structure.
