LOEB TO RAISE MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
By Adnews Staff
Loeb supermarkets in Ontario are raising money for breast cancer research. The grocery chain is selling the Women & Songs 2 CD during the month of February, which supports the fight against breast cancer. Under the plan, each time Loeb sells a CD, one dollar will be donated to breast cancer research. Proceeds from CD sales in Loeb stores in the Central and Western Ontario regions will be donated to the Princess Margaret Breast Cancer Centre in Toronto. Proceeds gathered from Eastern Ontario, Outaouais supermarkets and Northern Ontario stores will be donated to the Ottawa Regional Women's Breast Health Centre at the Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus and the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre in Sudbury, Ont. The CD will be promoted using in-store flyers created by the Saffer Group of Toronto. In addition, Loeb will hold weekly in-store draws, offering weekend getaway prizes. The Women & Songs 2 CD was produced by Warner Music Canada Inc. Loeb is operated by Provigo Inc. of Montreal.
