IBM OFFERS SMALL BUSINESSES VOICE RECOGNITION SOFTWARE

U.S.-based International Business Machines Corp. launched a new computer in the North American market this week targeting small and medium-sized businesses. Called the IBM PC 300GL, the machine feature's the computer maker's voice recognition software, a dictation and desktop navigation package. Other features include office productivity software such as Microsoft Office Small Business Edition, Lotus SmartSuite Millennium, Internet software and anti-virus protection. In Canada, the 300GL will be promoted using ads in trade and business magazines, as well as daily newspapers. The campaign was created by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto.
