ABC CANADA AND HONDA CANADA TEAM UP

Honda Canada has teamed up with ABC Canada to promote family literacy. To raise awareness of the partnership, both ABC and Honda will celebrate Canada's first Family Literacy Day on Jan 27, 1999. A broadcast of "Penny's Odyssey", is also being planned. The movie is a one-hour family special targeting children and their families. In addition to Honda Canada's financial support for the broadcast, the company will be providing new Honda Odyssey van owners with the "Honda Space Odyssey Travel Kit." The kit contains games and activities to encourage reading and writing. Print ads for Honda's Odyssey mini-van will also mention ABC. Ambrose Carr Linton Carroll Inc. of Toronto handles advertising for Honda. ABC is a national, non-profit organization supporting the development of a fully literate Canadian population.
