FOOD MARKETER RE-EDITS PHALLIC AD

Ireland-based food marketer Erin has pulled and revised its $1 million(US) ad campaign for its Sauce in Seconds brand. The company recently began airing a TV ad that featured a women wondering aloud about Brian from the accounts department, for whom she is cooking dinner. She asks the question, "Is it true what they say about Brian?" As she says this she is stroking a large cucumber. The ad drew an onslaught of complaints from the public and Erin was given one week to re-edit the commercial. RTE1, TnaG and Network 2 are airing the re-edited version of the ad, while TV3 is broadcasting the original ad. The spot was created by Young's of Dublin.
