HOCKEY ASSOCIATION LOOKING FOR SPONSORS
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Minor Hockey Association of Richmond Hill, Ont. is looking for sponsors for its various programs. Sponsorship packages range in price from $20,000 to over $100,000. Sponsors can partner with such programs as the Coach of the Year program, the Referee program and the Trainer program. Some sponsorships are also available for tournaments. Red Lobster Canada has become the OMHA's first official corporate sponsor.
Separately, the OMHA plans to launch a magazine next August. Called Hometown Hockey, the publication will cover such stories as coaching skills and development, equipment fitting, safety and profiles on OMHA hockey players. Hometown Hockey will be mailed to OMHA members, which consists of 120,000 households. It will be available three times a year and will be targeted to players, volunteers, trainers and coaches.
The OMHA also has a new slogan, Hometown Hockey. The slogan reflects the fact all OMHA members play hockey where they reside. It will be used in OMHA brochures, on its Web site and in its bi-weekly ads in The Toronto Sun. OMHA advertising is handled in-house. The OMHA is an association of 270 minor hockey leagues across Ontario for children aged five to 20.
