FUJITSU OFFERS SLIM, LIGHT COMPUTER

Fujitsu Canada of Mississauga, Ont. launched a new notebook computer recently to the Canadian market. Called the LifeBook L Series, the machine is 1.1-inches thick and weighs 4.5 pounds. In addition, the machine features a 266 MHz Intel Pentium processor, a 13.3-inch color screen and a 56 Kbps internal modem. The LifeBook is available in two configurations. Both have a four gigabyte hard drive and 32 megabytes of pre-installed memory. One model comes with an innovative detachable bay, as well as a dual battery option for extended periods of use. The second model features an external floppy disk drive. The LifeBook is being promoted using ads in trade publications and general business magazines.
