SINGAPORE LAWYERS TO BEGIN ADVERTISING

Lawyers in Singapore will be able to advertise their services beginning next month. They will be able to use newspaper, TV and the Internet. Under the new rules, lawyers are prohibited from anything that would bring the profession into disrepute. Until now, lawyers were restricted to promoting themselves in legal journals and directories.
