BEN & JERRY'S TO GO NATIONAL

Delicious Alternative Desserts of Toronto plans to roll out its Ben & Jerry's ice cream line nationally within the next six months. The ice cream is currently available in Toronto, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario in such stores as Loblaws, A&P, Dominion, Super Fresh, Ultra Food and Drug, Bruno's Fine Foods, Highland Farms, Kitchen Table, Loeb, Longo's, Nortown Foods, Pusateri's, Sobey's and The Barn. The flavors available include Chunky Monkey, Cherry Garcia, New York Super Fudge Chunk, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Vanilla Toffee Crunch and Coffee, Coffee, BuzzBuzzBuzz! The treats are being promoted using point-of-purchase materials created by Barry Base & Partners of Toronto. PR is being handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto. Delicious Alternative Desserts has the license to manufacture and distribute Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Canada. The company also has the license for other brands including Weight Watchers Ice Milks & Novelties, Cadbury chocolate bar ice cream and novelties and Mr. Cookie Face ice cream sandwiches. D.A.D is owner of Stoney Creek Ice Cream of Stoney Creek, Ont. Ben & Jerry's is based in Vermont.
