LONDON DRUGS OFFERS INTERNET PHOTO SERVICE
By Adnews Staff
London Drugs of Vancouver is giving its customers a new way to view their photographs. The company launched a new one-hour service this week that allows its customers to view their photos on the Internet. Under the deal, customers take their film to London Drugs and the chain uploads the pictures onto the London Drug Web site. Customers will be sent a notification by e-mail that their photos are ready. In order to view the photos, customers must use a personal access number they were given when they dropped off the photos. The photos will remain on the Internet for 30 days during which time customers will be able to download the photos and send them via e-mail around the world. In addition, kiosks linked to photographic printers have been set up in London Drugs outlets, allowing customers to print their photos from the Internet, as well as download them onto CD-ROM, Zip discs and floppy discs. The new service will be promoted using flyers and information packages in London Drugs bags. The campaign was created in-house with the help of Total Graphics of Vancouver. London Drugs operates 47 outlets in British Columbia and Alberta.
