By Adnews Staff
Eli Lilly Canada of Toronto has developed a prescription drug to help women in the postmenopausal stage. Called Evista, the drug is a once-daily tablet that prevents bone loss that often occurs after menopause. Evista builds bone mass and prevents vertebral fractures. In clinical trials, Evista was also found to reduce the incidence of breast cancer and lower cholesterol. The drug will be promoted using ads in medical journals. The ads will be created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. Optimum Public Relations of Montreal and Toronto is handling PR.
