MICROSOFT CORP. PUTS REFERENCE SUITE ON DVD

U.S.-based Microsoft Corp. recently released two reference titles in DVD-ROM format. The two titles are the 1999 versions of Encarta Reference Suite and Encarta Encyclopedia. The Encarta Reference Suite includes Encyclopedia Deluxe, Virtual Globe and Bookshelf. The DVD-ROM puts five CDs onto a single DVD-ROM disc. In Canada, Microsoft will incorporate the DVD-ROMs into advertising for the entire Encarta line of products. The campaign will use point-of-sale materials and newspaper wraps.
