CAB PRESENTS GOLD RIBBONS

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters presented its Gold Ribbon awards this week at its annual convention in Vancouver. The award recognizes exceptional programming, news coverage and community service for private radio and TV stations, as well as specialty services. The radio winners were: CJJR-FM, SILK-FM, CHFM-FM, CFAM, CJOB, CFTR, CFMI-FM, CHUM-FM and CFOX-FM. The TV winners were: CISA-TV, CFTM-TV, BCTV, CKY5-TV, CFCN-TV, Global Television and MuchMusic. Citytv founder Moses Znaimer was awarded the Gold Ribbon for Broadcast Excellence. The Jim Pattison Group president Rich Amish won an award for Outstanding Community Service by an Individual Broadcaster.
