ORACLE TO INTRODUCE MARKETING SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Oracle Corp. will launch a new program in North America later this fall that it says will automate the entire marketing process from demand creation to revenue recognition. Called Oracle Marketing, the software will be available with Oracle Front Office Version 3.0 and will support a closed-loop marketing process that automatically collects campaign results and tracks campaign effectiveness across different sales channels, by market segments and individual customer results. With data collected on each customer through other Front Office applications such as Oracle Service, Oracle Call Centre and Oracle Field Sales, marketers will be able to profile customers based on various criteria such as sales cycle, payment preference and purchase frequency. In Canada, Oracle is still developing its campaign for Oracle Marketing. It will be created by DDB Needham Worldwide of New York, while Palmer Jarvis DDB of Vancouver will customize the ads for the Canadian market and handle the Canadian media buy. Oracle is a software maker offering database, tools and application products, as well as related consulting, education and support services.
