REGIONAL ENTREPRENEUR AWARDS NAMED

Toronto-based ATI Technologies president, co-founder and chief executive officer Ky Ho has been named Ontario Entrepreneur of the Year, an award sponsored by Ernst & Young, the Bank of Montreal, Nesbitt Burns, McCarthy Tetrault and Air Canada. ATI is a computer graphics company. Ho has more than 20 years experience in the electronics and computer industry. Prior to founding ATI in 1985, he worked for various electronic and computer manufacturers in Hong Kong.
McCain foods chairman Harrison McCain has been named Atlantic region Entrepreneur of the Year. "Each year our judges choose exceptional individuals representing Atlantic Canada's finest entrepreneurs who all exhibit tremendous innovation, diligence and business savvy," Ernst & Young area managing partner John Carter says in a release. "In the case of Harrison McCain, you have someone who epitomizes entrepreneurial excellence and who has taken his business to the next level while remaining true to his Atlantic roots." The two regional winners have become finalists for the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
