ROGERS SIMPLIFIES LONG DISTANCE CALLING
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Rogers Cantel has simplified its long distance pricing. The company now offers a flat rate of 25 cents per minute on long distance calls regardless of the time of day the call is made. The deal is applied to all Canadian originated long distance calls. Until now, prices were based on land line prices and time of day the call was made. Rogers will incorporate the flat rate service in upcoming advertising for its long distance services. Advertising for Rogers is handled by Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising of Toronto. French language ads are created by Groupaction of Montreal. This is the second long distance initiative Rogers has made in as many weeks. In September, the company unveiled its Cantel AT&T One Rate plans, which eliminate long distance charges, roaming fees and time restrictions.
